Stay Young and Healthy

Tick.. tock..tick..tock... as the tick-tock time goes, we should have realize that we are getting older every second, every minute, every hour. Look at the mirror, see those fine wrinkles at the corner of both eyes, where they're should not have been there too soon. So, what is your age, then? 30? 40? Can we just stay away from the reality that God gives us signs to our body to let us know that we are no longer a teenager as we used to be?

Getting older does not mean to look and to behave as an 'old' one. Let say, we are 30 years old, can we just looked as if we are a 25 y.o mature lady? Then why can't we? There so many ways of how to stay healthy and fit at our age. Now we can easily find women's health care. This is an indication that taking care of our health is extremely important. Not only to keep us fit but it also to let us enjoy our life.

Our ageing process is natural. Wrinkles and crow’s feet are becoming nightmare that make us want to bawl. Many women are brave enough to take risk in botox and plastic surgery, it is not only burn a hole though your pocket but also require mind-numbing after care. Though, is may not be the best solution. So it’s best to delay the ageing process naturally.

When 30 calls, here is a list of ‘Do’s’
  1. Increase vitamin C, E and A, they are beneficial in reducing sun damage to skin and are rich in antioxidants, saving you from a potential heart attack. Play with all colour of vegetables and fruits.
  2. Use a sun block of SPF 30 at least. Give it 15 minutes to become effective before we step out into the sun. Carry an umbrella if needed. It’s better to be safe than to be bothered about looking hideous. These petite precautions during the day will help us looks stunning during the night.
  3. Moisturise our skin as it gets older. Use day and night creams and hydrating gels. Consult our dermatologist for your skin type. Do not allow our skin to become dry.
  4. Functions of digestion, absorption and utilization of nutrients are visible in healthy looking skin. So, respect our body clock by setting our meal time.
  5. Drink plenty of water (minimum of 1.5 L/day) will flush out toxins.
  6. Try to reduce consuming coffees, alcohols and sodas
  7. Eyes are very sensitive and therefore they are the first place to get wrinkles. 7 to 8 hours per day of undisturbed sleep is essential.
  8. Exercise helps us sweat. Sweating flushes out dead cells and waste materials. It releases blocked pores in the skin that cause acne and pimples. Hence, exercising to sweat out is a good choice. Find at least 30 minutes, 4 times a week or 60 minutes, 2 times a week for exercise.
  9. Relaxation is also needed after our all week working days. We may take a vacation during weekends, take Yoga exercises or simply stay at home with the whole family doing nothing but to enjoy the day.
  10. Reduce cigarette, sure it is harmful to our lung and a bigger potency as a cancer originator.
Most of all, be consistent! What we are trying to do in order to stay healthy will means nothing if we did not have the idea to keep it persist. Taking care of ourself is an effort but the effort is worthed when someone mistakes our age to be 5 years younger than what our real age is.
